Maxxis Tyre Levers
The cheapest thing that will save your ride.
A pair of Maxxis tyre levers. Nothing clever about them — they are the right shape, they do not snap, and at this price there is no reason not to have a set in every pack, every toolbox and every glovebox.
Best for: trailside tube changes and workshop tyre fitting.

Key features
- Sold as a pair
- Light enough to live in a pack or saddle bag permanently
- Pairs with a Maxxis tube — we stock both
How to use
- Let all the air out and push the tyre bead into the centre channel of the rim, all the way round. This is the step most people skip and it is the one that makes the rest easy.
- Hook the first lever under the bead opposite the valve and lever it over the rim.
- Work the second lever around from there until the bead is off.
- Refitting, use your hands wherever you can. Levers pinch tubes and can mark a carbon rim.
On tubeless: a set of levers gets a tyre off, but seating it again needs a decent burst of air. Bring the wheel in and we will do it on the workshop compressor.
